Bringing Real World industry Experience to Marine Safety

Sean Ives is a career yacht captain with over 20 years’ experience operating vessels throughout the Bahamas and Caribbean. Originally from South Africa, he began his career as crew, giving him firsthand insight into the realities of life onboard. He went on to co-create the I CAN Foundation, using sailing to build confidence and life skills. As co-founder of All Safe Yachting, he combines operational expertise with a clear focus on improving safety, accountability, and support for crew at sea.

Devlin Cathey is a former yacht crew member and experienced charter and private yacht chef and hospitality professional with a background in high-end operations. He has also been involved in the yacht sales  and charter sales industry for many years. Having worked onboard, he understands the realities, pressures, and expectations placed on crew. As founder of All Safe Yachting, he brings a practical, crew-first approach to improving safety, accountability, and wellbeing at sea. His focus is on giving crew the tools, support, and protection they need to operate with confidence.
